We made it home Thursday morning shortly after 3:00 am! Our flight was delayed in Chihuahua, such that we missed our flight from Dallas to Wichita. The flight that we did get on from Dallas was also delayed such that we didn't get out of Dallas until about 1:00 am! Despite the complications God brought us home and we are thankful for His provision.
Here are some pictures from the trip home.

On Sunday we watched CrossWay Sunday school and then attended church with Michael and his family. After church we went over to Michael's for lunch.
On Monday and Tuesday we finished up the jobs that we were working on along with a few other odds and ends. Some also went and helped a family with laundry, cleaning, and installing an air conditioner. Tuesday evening Michael planned a taco party. A caterer brought the meal, and afterward a missionary couple shared about their work in Chihuahua. Then it was a final late night game of soccer before heading to the showers and on to bed. Wednesday morning we will leave the guesthouse at 9:30 and head to the airport. We have had a great time of working together, meeting missionaries, and getting a glimpse of the ministry that happens here. Thank you all for praying for us! P.S. Thank you also to my mom and Amanda for proofreading the blogs and finding my mistakes so that I don't embarrass myself. Here are some pictures of the last couple days: Today we pretended to be tourists and Michael showed us some sights in Chihuahua. We visited the governor's palace and the cathedral. We also walked around and saw the street vendors. For lunch we drove up almost to the top of a mountain that overlooks Chihuahua and ate the lunch we had packed. Then we came back to the guesthouse. Adrian and Thaniel went home with Michael to spend the night with Tony and this evening they finished Michael's pumphouse.
Tomorrow we will watch CrossWay's Sunday school during breakfast. Michael and Aaron will pick us up at 9:30 and we will go to church with them. After church we are all going over to Michael and Lindy's for lunch, and then go out to a ranch and play volleyball together. Here are some pictures from the day: Arlen and Cambry got to fly with Michael and Aaron this morning, so we all left early (5:00). The interesting part was that the electricity was off so we had to get ready to go in the dark.
Today was a somewhat more relaxed day as we are getting close to finishing most of the projects that Michael had for us. The work on the airstrip is finished and the water line just needs a couple fittings changed to be fully functional. There is still a drywall patch and dust-proof storage cabinet to finish at the hanger. We were able to get the work done on Michael's garage and nearly finished the cover for his water pump. Some of the guys have also been helping put up studs and sheetrock at a mission school. Because the ladies finished all the things they were helping with, several of them have been able to go and help some other missionaries here in Chihuahua with cleaning and laundry. Tomorrow is our day to sleep in. About 9:00 Michael will come pick us up and we will go sightseeing in Chihuahua. Here are some pictures from today. It's pretty late so today's blog will be brief. The picture above is the complex where we are staying.
The projects today were clearing mesquite trees at the airstrip and some work at Michael's house cleaning the roof and repairing some termite damage in the garage. In the afternoon some did framing and sheetrock at a mission school, and others helped a missionary teacher sort books. Tomorrow will start with a leave time of 5:00 because Michael and Aaron will be flying out to a camp; Arlen and Cambry are going along to throw rocks off the runway. Here are some pictures from the day: This morning we started very early, leaving the guesthouse at 5:15. Michael prefers to fly early in the morning because the cool air is more efficient and stable for flying. When we arrived at the airport we got tools loaded in the airplane and got it pulled outside to prepare for takeoff. John, Thaniel, and I (Trevor) left with Michael in the airplane about 6:15 to drop fuel at another base, and do work on a runway in the mountains. The rest of the team continued work on the projects at Michael's airstrip, mostly plumbing and more dirt work on the runway. Karis and Amanda stayed behind and then took breakfast out to the hanger about 9:00 for those who were working there.
We landed back in Chihuahua right about noon and, after putting the airplane inside, sat down to lunch. After lunch we worked around the hanger until 3:00 and then came back to the guesthouse. Once again the ladies had supper ready for us in the evening. After supper each evening Arlen has led us in a devotion time with singing and discussing a passage of Scripture. We talk through the passage and then each share a verse from the passage we read or something from our personal devotions that was meaningful to us. Tomorrow morning some will head out to the airstrip to clear mesquite trees and another group will go to Michael's house to do some work there. Here are some pictures from the day: We are thankful for the strength that God supplies! Today we were able to accomplish much more than Michael expected and right now are ahead of schedule for the jobs that he has planned for us.
When we arrived at the airstrip some worked on the runway moving dirt (the old fashioned way with shovel and wheelbarrow) and painting runway markings. Others began work on the water line for the hanger. After lunch we worked mostly on projects in the shade of the hanger to be out of the sun during the hottest part of the day. We worked on patching drywall, more work on the water line, and building a dust-proof box for spare airplane parts. We came back to a wonderful supper that Karis and Amanda had prepared for us. Tomorrow morning we will leave very early (5:15 a.m.) and Michael will fly Thaniel, John, and I (Trevor) out to a village airstrip to do some work on it. The others will stay at Michael's airstrip and continue with the projects there. Here are some pictures from the day: Praise the Lord we all made it safely to Mexico without any complications!
We arrived in Chihuahua about 11:00 a.m. and made it through customs fairly easily. Michael and Aaron (another missionary) were there at the airport to pick us up and drive us to the guesthouse. Lindy and some other ladies had lunch prepared for us when we arrived and we (or at least I was) were ready to eat! The snacks they give you on the airplane don't really amount to breakfast ;) After lunch we rested a bit before 2:30 when Lindy took some of the ladies grocery shopping, and Michael and Aaron drove the rest of us out to Michael's airstrip to take a look at some of the projects for this week. When we got back we had free time until supper (Little Caeser's) about 6:30 followed by group Bible time. Tomorrow morning we will start early with breakfast at 6:30 with the goal of a 7:00 departure. We will start work at the airstrip and hanger with some dirt work on the runway and clearing some brush. After the sun gets higher and the temperature rises we will shift to working on projects in the shade of the hanger. Here are some pictures from the day today: Well, in less than a week from now, I and a group of others from CrossWay will be roasting in the heat of Chihuahua, Mexico!
